A Day of Giving and Reflection at Clifford T. Sego Middle School

February 08, 2016

“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Led by Kalyn Gladney, AmeriCorps volunteer and Sharon Alias, Site Coordinator at Sego Middle School, 506 high protein meals were raised and donated to the Action Ministries’ clients living at the Maxwell House in downtown Augusta. Students like adults often think that because they are not “rich” that they can’t help others in need. Hats off to Kalyn and Sharon for teaching the students at Sego Middle School how important giving is and how a gift they think is small can make a huge difference in the life of someone struggling.
