EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MESSAGE

A message about the July 22nd Back to School Event from RISE Augusta Executive Director, Laurie Cook:

“Thank you to all the amazing volunteers working behind the scenes – AU Literacy, RISE Augusta board members, Cindy Youngblood, Debby Kalliokoski, and Amanda Fields for organizing and stuffing all of those bookbags with paper, pencils, folders, notebooks, glue sticks, journals, markers, and so much more!

The day of the event there were so many people helping – thank you Augusta National, T-Mobile, AT & T, Richmond County School System, Augusta University, and so many others.

It was such a huge effort but made possible by so many helping hands! We are so grateful! Just think of all the young people that were helped by the outpouring of generosity of time, effort and resource!”
